THE SKIING

The Ski Welt lift pass covers no less than 250kms of superb skiing. Access to the slopes from the village is either via a blue run under normal snow conditions, or a 3-minute free ski-bus ride down to the two Brandstadl gondolas, which whisk you straight up to some of the Ski Welt's best skiing. Not only that, but as Scheffau residents, you will receive the 'VIP' lift pass, allowing you privileged, priority access to the Brandstadl gondolas.

We will again be offering our own Esprit-exclusive private ski-bus to and from the Brandstadl lifts. This will normally do separate runs for children in Esprit ski classes and for parents, once each morning and afternoon, in addition of course to the regular excellent local ski-bus service.

Our Esprit Ski Escort will be available for at least 2 days of the week to ski with you and introduce you to the area.

FAMILIES
At the top of the Brandstadl gondola, the 'Kaiserland' children's ski area, complete with a Snow Castle, three 'magic carpet' lifts and two beginners' ski-carousels, is a magical place for youngsters to learn and have fun, and proves a tremendous hit with our young guests. In addition, for outdoor activities with the Snow Club, there is the gentle slope in the village just outside our own Nursery and Snow Club rooms.

BEGINNERS
Scheffau provides ideal beginner slopes at the top of the Brandstadl gondola, and as you progress, there is easy access to a wide range of snow-sure blue runs. The ski-school's friendly, English-speaking instructors thoroughly deserve their excellent reputation.

INTERMEDIATES
Arguably Austria's very best ski area for intermediates, the Ski Welt offers 120kms of red runs to enjoy, taking you from Going at one end of the system all the way round, via six other villages, to Westendorf at its southern end. With another 108kms of blue runs when you just want to cruise, there is plenty here to make this an exciting and enjoyable week.

ADVANCED
There is a good choice to occupy the expert both on and off-piste, with eight blacks and 57 red runs, fun moguls and great valley sweeps. Our Ski Escort will be happy to show you all the best bits!

POWDER POTENTIAL
There are plenty of opportunities across the top of the Ski Welt, plus a couple of excellent valley runs, requiring a guide, such as the route from the top of the Brandstadl down to neighbouring Söll.

SNOWBOARDING
With good off-piste, and a fun-park up above Westendorf, the Ski Welt area makes an excellent choice for boarders of all levels.
