Our four selected Chalet Hotels offer Esprit families the best of both worlds - the expanded facilities and greater degree of comfort of a hotel, combined with the conviviality and far less formal atmosphere of a chalet.

Recently converted, the Annahof in Saas Fee has glorious glacier views plus a spa area with whirlpool, sauna and steam-room.

NEW - the brand new Deux Domaines in Belle Plagne offers ideal family accommodation, an indoor pool and wellness centre.

The Sapinière in Chamonix is full of traditional character, in an ideal location with fantastic views of Mont Blanc.

Chalet Hotel Style

Being wholly run by Esprit, our Chalet Hotels offer a relaxed atmosphere with the friendly and welcoming convenience of our entirely English-speaking staff.

All suites and bedrooms have private en suite facilities, there will be a large dining-room, public areas such as a proper bar and lounge and most have 'wellness' facilities too.

As with our chalets, breakfast is included daily and children's high tea and adult-only dinner are provided six nights per week. On the staff's one day off per week, breakfast will be served for you as normal, and that evening you and your family have the chance to eat out in one of the local cafés or restaurants.

Children under 13 are not allowed to join the adult-only dinners and are served high tea at about 5.30pm.

In addition, all our Chalet Hotel guests are offered a complimentary light packed lunch five days per week (i.e., daily except changeover day and the staff's day off) comprising a filled roll, bag of crisps, chocolate bar, piece of fruit and a carton of juice.

Culinary Choice Dining

An additional feature of our Chalet Hotels is a more extensive culinary experience for our guests, offering choices of menu at dinner, and a substantial buffet breakfast every day, including a daily hot dish, such as sausages and bacon or pancakes, on top of our standard chalet meals.

Adults will be asked to choose their evening meals at breakfast for that evening from a choice of two varied dishes selected for each course, plus a vegetarian option, and a cheeseboard will also be available each day to round off your meal if you wish.

This year, we are also offering alternative choices for children's High Tea in our Chalet Hotels. In the same way that parents are asked to select their evening's choices at breakfast time, children will be offered a choice of home-made healthy options as well as standard children's favourites.

Teen Rangers' Meals

Our Teen Rangers have a separate meal together at 7pm on three nights a week and also eat out one night under the supervision of our staff, whilst the arrival meal and Family Barbecue are enjoyed in the company of fellow guests.

Weekly Barbecue / Alfresco Evening

Once a week, normally on Fridays (weather permitting), there are no separate meals for children, as everyone dines together at our Family Barbecue or Alfresco Evening following the Alpies Show. Cocoa Club ensures that impatient youngsters who want to 'eat & go' are well cared for, while parents enjoy a more leisurely dinner!

With no official rating system for Chalet Hotels in existence, our diamond rating is based on senior management inspections, coupled where available with guest feedback over the years. Although it cannot be compared with any other system, such as 'normal' hotel star ratings, we hope you find it useful in making your selection purely from our own range of Chalet Hotels. Our Wine Selection

We are very proud of our wine selection for Esprit chalets and Chalet Hotels, which combines crisp and fruity whites with medium to full bodied reds, for a variety of palates.

We select our wines in conjunction with our good friends Nicolas and Véronique Perret the third generation in the Perret family’s fine wine business based in the Savoie. Nicolas is a Master of Wine, having trained at the prestigious Burgundy Wine University in Beaune.

Each season in October, Nicolas & Véronique bring over a new selection for us to sample (someone has to do it!) and together we choose our four wines for the coming season, based on our menus and their pure enjoyment factor.

Wine is an incredibly subjective and emotive subject, however the feedback we have received from our guests over recent seasons endorses our aims of providing wines to enhance your meal and to suit most tastes.
